Cristiano Ronaldo’s coronavirus test being negative on Tuesday would result in him taking over Lionel Messi and Barcelona this Wednesday.
Juventus sit tight for coronavirus test round results to know if Ronaldo will be able to play against Barcelona.
A decision on his availability will go down to the wire for their next Champions League clash with Barca and long-time rival Lionel Messi on Wednesday.
This is the much-awaited game at Allianz Stadium after May 2011 match when Messi and Ronaldo have played against each other in the league.
“He had a swab today [Tuesday] like everyone else. We have to wait for the outcome of the test. I think it will come in the evening,” head coach Andrea Pirlo said according to AS.
“We have to wait for the result, then we’ll see [if he will play]. For now, everything is still uncertain. We hope to be able to evaluate him even if it’s not easy after 15 days of inactivity.”
