Jurgen Klopp says he had same injury as Van Dijk

In the Premier League match against Everton, Virgil van Dijk was seriously injured and Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp spoke about the defender.

“These situations are always similar. Players want to be alone with themselves at such moments, to cope with the first feelings on their own. I’ve been in the profession long enough to know that. I also received injuries, and, if I am not mistaken, I had exactly the same injury. This is not the time when you want to talk,” he said to Liverpool official website.

“Of course, we are in touch. We’re here for him, and he knows it. We’ll wait for him as a good wife waits for her husband from prison. We will do everything possible to ease this moment for him.”
