Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has given his opinions on how to perform to win the English league.
“We have to be close to perfection. But the ideal in this case depends on the situation. There is no perfect season in which a team scores 114 points. So you have to cope with the specific situation, the circumstances, the tightness of the schedule. We have to be as close to perfection as possible, and that is what we are trying to achieve,” said Klopp to Sky Sports.
“The leaders in the EPL table are constantly changing because the competition is very fierce. This year’s title race is different to other seasons, we have to be 100 per cent ready.”
“I know that the only thing that counts in football is the result but you have to play well and our last match was really good. This result is not a disaster and not ideal, but it is not that important. We have to play as well as possible.”
“I saw a lot of good things in the game with Man Utd, and if we had won it, everyone would have seen that as well. But because we did not win, nobody cares about that. But my point of view is the same.”
Liverpool will face Burnley in the EPL on 21 January.
