Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said having not even scored a goal in their last four games and just one since Christmas, it would be ‘silly’ to talk about the Reds being in the Premier League title race after the loss of Burnley at Anfield on Thursday night.
After being tripped by an onrushing Alisson himself when Fabinho gambled and let him have a free run at goal, Ashley Barnes scored the winning goal for Burnley.
“If I sit now here, losing against Burnley and didn’t score for the last four games and talk about the title race how silly that would be?” Klopp is quoted by the Daily Mail. “We need to score goals and that is what we have to do. That’s the job a manager and coach has to do.”
