Diario Sport reports, after having reached a contractual agreement Manchester United will sign Barcelona’s right-back teenage Marc Jurado.
The defender who turned 16th last month rejected the Catalan club’s deal of an extension and has an offer in place to move to England.
Over the past nine years, Jurado has played in the youth teams of the Blaugrana, but the player will move to Old Trafford instead in spite of Barcelona promising to continue progressing through the ranks alongside an improved salary.
The teenager had played this campaign for the Cadet A side of the club and was due to be promoted next season to the Juvenil B team.
Barcelona has lost a number of promising youth players in recent years but they believed that last year’s contract extensions given to rising talent Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba turned the tide.
This summer at United Jurado is set to arrive with a fee of €1.5 m (£1.3 m) relative to the player’s development.
