Joshua Kimmich received compliments from Bayern goalkeeper and head coach

Joshua Kimmich praised by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and coach Hansi Flick after his impressive goal from his stomach sealed a 3-2 German Super Cup victory over Borussia Dortmund, Bayern.

Speaking after the game, Bayern goalkeeper Neuer was profuse in his appreciation of his team-mate’s shot.

“There were both will and talent,” Neuer said.

“He didn’t sit on the ground. He’s such a decent player, and he always chips the ball in.”

Bayern head coach Hansi Flick agreed with goalkeeper, telling ZDF: “As long as I know him, his mindset was really unique. He’s one of the players who are forming this squad and this club.”

“When will I give him a break? I try, but then you have to cope with his anger, he always wants to be on the field.”
