Jose Mourinho confirmed that as they were “5 cm too small” Tottenham requested for Shkendija’s goals to be replaced.
The Portuguese claims the problem was brought to his attention before kick-off by one of his first-team goalkeepers, as he said at a post-match press conference: “It was a funny situation before the game because my goalkeeper told me the goal was small.”
“I went to take a look, and it was small. The goalkeepers spend their whole time there, we know that.”
“I knew something was wrong instantly and we got the UEFA delegate to come in and it was too short for 5 cm. We called for the dimension of the proper goal.”
