Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho declined to comment on the decision to award Newcastle a late penalty after Sunday’s 1-1 draw.
“I don’t think,” he answered Sky Sports while asked about the handball decision.
“I’m worried about the success of my side. Really great. Very, really good results. The great first half could be 3-0 or 4-0, easy, but Darlow was brilliant [Newcastle goalkeeper Karl] and we hit the post and they managed to survive.”
“We had control on them in the second half, we held them from our box. We know the box’s danger. Each box is an 18-yard box and we know that a special box is the Tottenham box, so we managed to keep them safe.”
“If I want to give away any money I give to charity, I don’t want to give to the FA, so I choose not to comment.”
“We had the situation then and lost two points, but I will not comment on it.”
