Harry Kane looks to be assured that he will recover to full fitness in a few weeks, revealed Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
Having injured both ankles during the Spurs’ latest loss to Liverpool, the England striker was replaced at half time.
Speaking after the defeat at relegation-threatened Brighton on Sunday, the Portuguese coach gave an update on his player’s health.
Mourinho said, as quoted by the club’s website: “The news is pretty good news. After Liverpool, [we had] no idea. Then the next day, we were thinking about three weeks, something like that.
“I don’t want to be super-optimistic, but Harry is optimistic, he has the experience of some injuries in his ankles and in Harry’s mind, it’s a couple of weeks, so let’s see if he’s right.”
