John Stones close to extend the contract with City

Manchester City defender John Stones will proceed to serve the Manchester club, claims The Telegraph.

Details of the potential deal have not been clarified yet but the British footballer is close to extending his contract with City. 

The current contract runs until the summer of 2022.

Stones has won the fight for a place in the starting line-up against rivals in recent matches, although his future with the team was debatable in the summer.
