Jesse Lingard contacted Nice for a loan move

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has initiated negotiations with Nice over a potential transfer on loan.

According to Sky Sports, the England international’s representatives held talks with the French club, with an official approach expected next week.

This season the 28-year old is yet to feature for Manchester United in the Premier League, with his last appearance coming over a year ago.

On the weekend Lingard started in United’s FA Cup win over Watford and was his third appearance this season, with the other two coming in the Carabao Cup back in September. He started in the third-round win over Luton Town and then was bought on as a substitute in the fourth-round victory over Brighton.
