Securing the signing of Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, a major uprising was completed by Everton on Monday night.
On Saturday Toffees also signed Napoli’s Allan, reuniting the Brazilian with his former boss, Carlo Ancelotti.
That was seen as a coup; one that Ancelotti eventually played a huge part in as the player wanted to work with the Italian again.
Signing playmaker Rodriguez on a two-year deal with the third option, Everton repeated the trick on Monday.
The Colombian star now joins the company for £ 20 million and previously had worked with Ancelotti in Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Thomas Muller has chosen to take with Twitter to send his former Bavarian teammate Rodriguez a message who remains a big name and a popular figure.
Between 2017 and 2019 the pair played together in Bayern and Muller – fresh from winning the Champions League last month – took the time to wish him good luck as he made his first move to the Premier League.
