Kolo Toure marveled at how the playmaker in Spain interacted with his brother Yaya and according to former Manchester City defender, playing alongside the 34-year-old was a pleasure.
“We called him The Maestro,” the longtime Arsenal center-back told Stats Perform News (via Goal).
“He’s a great athlete, incredible technically. I enjoyed playing with him, particularly with Yaya.”
“What you needed to do was pass the ball off to them. Yaya will move next to you and get the shot, so Yaya will see David in front and easily put the ball up and the attack was on.”
“David doesn’t go to fight, he’s searching for gaps, playing space between lines to support teams,” he clarified.
“He’s not searching for fights, he doesn’t need it. He’s only trying to support us. It’s been an honor playing with him.”
