Inter director says there is no link with Messi – “We’re going to fund newcomers”

There is “nothing” to the reports that bind his side to Lionel Messi, declares Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio claiming that the links connecting the Barcelona legend and the Serie A club are not based in fact.

“There’s nothing to say. I don’t know where those ideas come from,” he said to Sky Sports.

“If we’re talking about Messi, there’s no club that doesn’t want to sign him [but] the truth is different. On the market, we have to be patient and wise.”

“We know what we have to do. The exits, first of all. We’re going to fund newcomers.”

“There are few options and those we can take are not so expensive.”
