When Hyderabad FC plays their next match in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021 at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolin on Thursday, they will aim to win not only sluggish SC East Bengal, but also table top side Mumbai City FC. Also, the difference in marks has to be reduced. The win would move the team of Spanish coach Manuel “Manolo” Marquez Roca to second place. Hyderabad has been undefeated for the last five matches and is jointly on top with Kerala Blasters for the most number of undefeated matches during this season.
Hence, Hyderabad will be a strong contender for victory in the upcoming match against East Bengal, as Kolkata are at the bottom of the 11-team table with three points. Hyderabad looks to be one of the most balanced teams this season, with its defense and forward line clicking together in every match. Hyderabad has conceded only five goals in six matches played this season.
Coach Manolo Marquez said, “Every match is difficult to win. East Bengal is also going to be difficult. Not in form but it has played draws with the top three teams in the table. Unlike Hyderabad, the story of SC East Bengal is quite different.” Coach José Manuel Diaz’s red-and-goal brigade not only lost 0-2 to NorthEast United FC in the previous football match, but their best player, Antonio Perosevic, had to leave the field after receiving a red card.
East Bengal’s defense has been very poor and their attacks have not shown any sharpness. Coach Diaz said, “We want to win. Although every match is different. This season we are not going to win. But our goal is to win. Antonio Perosevic will not play the next match but we have the form of Cheema, Semboi and Balwant. There are options.”
