Kerala Blasters register their first win of the season by defeating Odisha FC 2-1 in an Indian Super League match. Thanks to goals from Alvaro Vazquez in the 62nd minute and the other decisive goal was from Prashant Karuthadthakuni in the 85th minute. For Odisha, Nikhil Raj scored in the injury time (90+5th minute) saving the team from zero goal defeat.
Raj came on the field in place of Xavi Hernandez and scored in the stoppage time of the second half. With this victory, Kerala moved up to the sixth position in the table with five points. Odisha team is in the third position with six points from three football matches.
In another match of the Indian Super League, Mumbai City FC defeated Bengaluru FC 3-1 in their fourth round. Igor Angulo opened the account for Mumbai City by converting a penalty in the ninth minute. Cleiton Silva leveled the score in the 20th minute by scoring a free kick. Both the teams were tied at 1-1 till half time. Mortada Fall gave Mumbai City the lead again in the 54th minute with a header while Yagor Catatau ensured their victory in the 85th minute.
This is the third win for Mumbai City in the last four matches, taking them to nine points. The team reached the top of the table. This is the second loss for Bengaluru and they have four points from four matches. In other matches of the fourth round, Chennaiyin FC and East Bengal held a goalless draw. On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC defeat ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 while on the same score NorthEast United beat FC Goa.
