Lazio forward Ciro Immobile made an announcement that with a new contract until June 2025 he ‘intends to commit’ to the Aquile.
In a single Serie A season, the Capocannoniere matched the record of 36 goals of Gonzalo Higuain.
Recently, Immobile was linked to a move to his home-town club Napoli.
But despite his ‘affection’ for the Partenopei, Immobile has promised to remain with the Biancocelesti.
“I intend to commit to Lazio forever,” Immobile told the Corriere Dello Sport. “The renewal will be three years, so the contract will expire in 2025 when I turn 35.”
“Before I came to Lazio, I was frequently in touch with Napoli, but for one reason or another, we never agreed.”
“Napoli is the city where I was born, I’ll always follow Napoli with affection, but what Lazio has given me and is giving me is priceless.”
