Dean Henderson’s short and long-term future has not been yet decided by Manchester United.
Helping the Blades in the Premier League table finishing ninth, the English stopper has just spent a successful loan period with Sheffield United.
Although Henderson effectively has three years left on his current contract, if assurances were given about starting lineup opportunities, Henderson would likely stay at Old Trafford, while the Yorkshire outfit naturally wants to keep the 23-year-old.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has yet to decide where the graduate of the academy would fit into his plans, according to Manchester Evening News.
If Solskjaer intends to remain faithful to David de Gea, he is said to be open to making a permanent switch elsewhere.
Although it is believed that Chelsea is monitoring the situation, it is unlikely United will sell to one of their direct rivals.
