After grabbing the first club hat trick, Kai Havertz sent a challenge to Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
In a 6-0 win over Barnsley at the Carabao Cup, the German scored his first three goals for the club and was in full swing.
His first came after 28 minutes when he picked up a loose ball in, the penalty box before Tammy Abraham flicked back to him in the second half, and the hat trick had been secured for 65 minutes, running clear before dummying the goaltender and poking into the open net.
And he saw Captain Azpilicueta, send a message to his new teammate making his first start of the season.
The Blues captain responded in comments saying, “More to come,” urging the 21-year-old to build on his accomplishment.
He was also impressed by the midfielder, who had fought in his first two games at the club, according to Mirror.
