Joe Hart and James McCarthy joined Celtic under Ange Postecoglou. Both the football players left the Premier League for a different experience. Celtic have announced the additions of Joe Hart and James McCarthy to their squad.
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Hart spent the last season with Tottenham Hotspur. In 12 years at the Etihad Stadium he was twice a Premier League champion in 2020-21 the 34-year-old appeared in 10 games with eight of them coming in the Europa League. He also has 75 England caps.
The other joinie Mc Carthy left Crystal Palace at the end of the season. While Carthy agreed to a four-year contract, Hart has agreed to a three-year deal.
“This is a great moment for me in my career and I am absolutely delighted to be joining a club of Celtic’s stature,” Hart said via Celtic’s website. “I know just how big this club is and of the incredible support that it enjoys, and I can’t wait to play in front of the fans at Celtic Park.”
