Tottenham Hotspur has put Harry Kane and Son Heung-min’s contract discussions on standby, according to a source.
Scoring and helping a combined 38 Premier League goals in 16 matches the attacking pair have been in sensational form for Spurs this season.
While Kane is under contract until 2024, Son has two-and-a-half years to go on his current deal.
It was said that Spurs were keen to tie both players down to new terms to put their salaries in line with the other high earners of the division.
The Evening Standard argues, however, that all non-urgent contract negotiations were put on hold by Tottenham as the financial outlook of the club remains uncertain.
