Harry Kane has informed Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave in the summer. Spurs have already started making inquiries for potential replacements. Spurs don’t want to sell their prized asset but three big clubs have already been in touch with representatives of their talisman. Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are said to have contacted Kane’s representatives. Kane has always maintained that he would like to play football in England throughout his career. It is said that Kane would like his future to be resolved before the European Championships.
Recently, Harry Kane has made it clear that he would like to compete for the top team trophies in Europe. He has not won a single trophy during his time with the club. Reports suggested that Tottenham had persuaded Harry Kane to stay at the club when Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino in 2019. This season they were leading the Premier League until December and looked the part of Premier League Champions. But then Kane got injured and they could not cope without him. This year once again they have failed to qualify for the Champions League.
“It’s been no secret that Harry Kane has wanted to compete for the top honors, both as a team and individually. It’s been a frustrating season for him personally. It hasn’t happened for the Spurs with Champions League qualification. It will be a second season that he hasn’t had that.” Paul Gilmour said. “He is valued at well over £120m, probably, and the rest, if Spurs and Daniel Levy have anything to say about it because let’s face it, the ball is in their court. He has a contract until 2024 and they will certainly if somehow, they do agree to this, they will want to get their money’s worth, of course.”
