Gunnar: number nine provoked Martial’s good run

The settling of Anthony Martial in the number nine role provoked his good run of form which saw the Manchester United reach 20 season goals, believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“I think the squad provides possibilities, Anthony works well, becoming the number nine in a stable role but still alternating with Marcus Rashford and swapping places once in a while,” Solskjaer said to Goal.

“He started out on the left with his goal against Bournemouth and curled it high into the top corner.”
