Guardiola provided injury update of Ilkay Gundogan and Eric Garcia

Ilkay Gundogan has trained ahead of Saturday’s Manchester Derby, but Eric Garcia will miss the trip to Old Trafford due to injury.

Pep Guardiola reported that Garcia would be out for several weeks.

After picking up knocks in the 3-0 win over Marseille in midweek, both players were replaced, and although it is good news for Gundogan.

“Eric is not fit,” he said at his pre-match press conference.

“He will be out for two or three weeks. Ilkay trained well.”

Also, Guardiola reiterated that Sergio Aguero, who scored against Marseille on his return from injury, is not ready to play against Manchester United.
