Head coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola showed sorrow on the death of former Argentinean national team forward Diego Maradona.
“The first thought was to support Sergio [Agüero] because, for his son, Diego was his grandfather,” said Guardiola to BT Sport.
“One day in Argentina I saw a banner with the text “It doesn’t matter what you did with your life. What matters is what you have done for our lives.”
“There have not been many incredible football players in the history of football, and he is one of them. For people of my generation, the World Cup 1986 and other tournaments with its participation made the sport better.”
“From all of Manchester City, my condolences to his family.”
