On Sunday Manchester City was defeated by Southampton but manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t think that signifies to bring in new players to the club.
While asked whether the loss at City was a matter of needing fresh players, Guardiola said to reporters: “Actually, I don’t believe so.”
“Frankly speaking we are performing well. We’re playing with the character and trying to move until the finish. We were competing in the penalty area against Southampton who had 10 players. We have done it very well.”
“We’ll analyze the game, so we’ll be trying to do better for the opportunities we’ve got. It’s hard to make better opportunities than we’ve generated with the way we’ve achieved it.”
“I’m so proud that I liked the way we played but it’s not enough. There’s no complaint about the players. We’ve played really well, I like it but it’s not enough to win the games.”
