Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has talked about the EPL 16th round match against Everton postponement due to an eruption of coronavirus in the Citizens squad.
“It’s not just me but people all over the world dealing with this strange and new situation. The best option is just to adapt,” Guardiola said to official website of the club.
“If the Premier League were to tell us to go and play at Goodison Park, we would do it, aware of the risk of what might happen after our match.”
“We have good protocols, rules, but right now there is a lot of doubt about the pandemic situation. Even among doctors.”
“Sometimes decisions have to be made. We need to adapt day by day. I know that economics is important, that we are lucky to be able to do our job. Some people can’t do it. We are lucky to do our own business.”
“But people’s health is the most important thing. It’s important to be safe. And after that, step by step, we can rebuild the economy around the world.”
