Crvena Zvezda came to an important victory at home in the fight for the passage of the group in the Europa League. In the third round against Belgian Gent, Dejan Stanković’s team celebrated with the result 2:1.
With a goal by Guelor Kanga in the 12th minute, the home team took the lead after an action in which he did most of the work himself. He first sent a long ball towards Marko Gobeljić on the left side, who threw the ball into the middle from the first.
The ball traveled through the penalty area of the Belgian team, but as no one managed to catch it, it came again to the running Kanga, who scored from the volley to lead the Serbian champion.
Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Aleksandar Katai brought victory to Zvezda scoring in the 31st minute for 1:1 and a free kick in the 59th minute respectively.
