Wales is a part of Group A of Euro 2020 along with Italy, Turkey, and Switzerland. Having only lost two of their last fifteen matches Wales is in fantastic form heading into Euro 2020. We have noted down a preview of Wales in Group A ahead of Euro 2020.
The national team manager Robert Page has contributed to the squad’s strong unity and pleasant mood with his experience and knowledge. He has worked with several of the younger players for numerous years.
The national squad is fully fit and ready but Ben Davies and Joe Allen’s health is doubtful. Wales will want to progress through the group without getting carried away.
The starting match will be critical in a strong group, but if they manage to defeat Switzerland in the first game, it will set the team up to progress and then see how far they go once they reach the knockout stages.
Turkey and Italy complete a difficult group, but if they reach third in the group qualifying is possible. Consequently, a win in the first match would go a long way toward clinching qualification. The team has a lot of confidence in their ability to go deep into the international football tournament given their past record of five years ago.
They definitely want to get out of the group, but even making it to the knockout stages would be a fantastic tournament for Wales. In terms of size, they are one of the smaller countries, so going any further would be punching above our weight. Many of the teams they face have far larger pools of players from whom to choose, so that will always put everyone at a disadvantage.
