Griezmann scored his first goal of the campaign against Alaves and gave a frank review of his season to date.
At Mendizorroza the Frenchman netted Barcelona’s equalizer as their unbeaten run extended to four matches in LaLiga Santander.
“I have to recognize that we’re losing loads of opportunities to score,” Griezmann said to Marca after the game.
“In order to improve, we have to work. The season is very long and we will get more reliable.”
“I’ve lost a lot of [chances]. My goals are necessary for the team and I’m trying to work on that. I feel good here, I enjoy myself. I still have a long way to go, but we’ll get there with confidence, hard work, and humility.”
With the draw against Alaves, Barcelona has already picked up two points from a possible 12 in LaLiga Santander.
“We’re irritated and frustrated because we want three points,” Griezmann said.
“We have a lot to work on. We have to focus on the game [against Dinamo Kyiv] on Wednesday and try to win.”
“We had a lot of opportunities, but we scored just one. We don’t do very well. We need to improve and it’ll be through hard work. Since the season is long, we need to be calm.”
