French striker Olivier Giroud (33) and Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero (38) have prolonged their deal with the English Premier League side, Chelsea, for another season.
“I am thrilled to be able to continue my journey and adventure in the ranks of the ‘Blues’. I can’t wait to get back on the field and enjoy competitive football with my teammates,” the French striker told for club’s website.
Giroud has scored 21 goals in 76 appearances in the Blues jersey so far, since he shifted from Arsenal to Stamford Bridge in September 2018.
Argentine goalkeeper Caballero also stays at Stamford Bridge.
“Times are tough for everyone, so I feel blessed for this occasion and I truly appreciate it,” Caballero said.
In 2017, Caballero moved from Manchester City to Chelsea in 2017 and has made 31 appearances so far.
“I believe in Willy, he trains great and is a top professional. His quality and experience are invaluable in the locker room,” said Blues manager Frank Lampard, commenting on Giroud’s stay at the club.
“Since arriving at the club, Olivier has excelled as a professional and as a man in general.”
