Gennaro Gattuso says after the Azzurri’s 6-0 victory over Fiorentina, Napoli deserves credit for ‘making it look easy’.
The Napoli coach also describes why he took the squad out two days before the match for lunch.
“It looked like an easy game, but it was not easy. [David] Ospina made a great save when we were one goal up,” Gattuso told DAZN.
“The turning point was [Lorenzo] Insigne’s assist, they lost some wickedness after that. We converted every opportunity we created. We conceded some goal chances, but it was a great performance. We’ll need another one like this on Wednesday.”
“It’s not easy to remain focused when you win 4-0 at half time. That’s why I raised my voice in the second half. We made so many mistakes in home games this season, we’ve reached Roma in the table, we cared so much about this game.”
