Frank Lampard: Abramovich’s arrival at Chelsea completely changed my life

Head coach Frank Lampard has told how Roman Abramovich’s acquisition of Chelsea changed his life.

“I have to say that when the owner [Abramovich] came to Chelsea many years ago, it made my career,” Lampard said to Sky Sports.

“Maybe I would have gone elsewhere or something. But luckily I was at a club where the owner completely changed his face and changed my life.”

“I understand everything, but I don’t think it should give me a head start. I’m here, and I think the extended work last year, including fourth place, was a huge plus for us given the restrictions. But now we have to do it again.”
