Kylian Mbappe caught a late win, for France at the Stadion Maksimir in a clash against Croatia 2-1.
Dominated the opening stages the world champions in eight minutes took a significant lead through Antoine Griezmann.
Before the PSG forward somehow missed an open target, Kylian Mbappe, and Anthony Martial combined. Croatia’s best chain fell to Mario Pasalic in the first half, but he could not convert in a crowded field.
After the break, Zlatko Dalic’s men stayed in the ascension and leveled with 25 minutes remaining courtesy of the driven finish of Nikola Vlasic.
Mbappe struck to grab the points for France with 11 minutes left.
