Antoine Griezmann scored from the corner of the goal just seven minutes later, to seal his excellent form in recent weeks. At the end of the first half, Giroud had another opportunity but again missed.

Ukraine didn’t seriously threaten the game until the end of the first half. After the break, the situation changed a bit. The visitors were closer to the French goal and in the 57th minute they equalized.

Serhiy Sydorchuk struck hard from the end line of the penalty area, the ball bounced off Presnel Kimpembe and rolled into the goal.

The French were unable to create too many clear-cut opportunities to score. The situations that worked out did not end in dangerous shots.

a great opportunity to score the winning goal firstly wasted Kimpembe in the last minutes, and in the added time Lucas Hernandez missed.
