Bayern Munich faced a terrible loss in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain as the French Giants put one foot in the semi-finals smashing the Germans. Hansi Flick, head coach of Bayern Munich has commented after a 2-3 defeat to PSG in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final and praised Munich’s toughness against PSG.
The Germans have one 90 minutes match to step up for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller were the goa scorers for Bayern Munich.
The German manager didn’t criticize his team but appreciate their toughness, “The team fights on the pitch for 90 minutes and never gives up, that’s the quality that makes the team stand out,” said Flick as reported by Tz. “The squad is getting thinner and thinner, but we’re making the best of it. Of course, one or two people were upset, but we have to convert this energy so that we can use it in the return match on Tuesday.”
“The opponents scored three goals with almost no chances and we had many chances. We could have got a good result today but our execution was not at its best. However, I am satisfied with today’s performance and the quality of our game,” Flick said to DW Sports.
“We had a lot of chances, we played some impressive football. I do not like to lose. If we have to do it, let’s lose when we play this kind of football. If we evaluate our match against PSG, we can look forward to the return game in Paris with a positive attitude.”
“I am happy with the result and the attitude of the team, who found themselves in difficult situations against the best side in Europe,” Pochettino said.
“We always approach the games positively and can look positively to Paris and will do everything to get to the semifinals,” said Flick.
Bayern had won the Champions League trophy last year defeating the same team – PSG in the finals.
