Flick on the 4-1 with Lazio: We made a huge step today, one more step ahead to reach the quarterfinals

Bayern head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has reflected on the result of the match against Lazio (4-1) in the first leg of the Champions League 1/8 final.

“Basically, everyone met the expectations today. We showed a very good team game, we wanted to put pressure on the opponents from the start and we did it well. We were high on the ball and converted our chances, so we’re very happy,” said the coach to UEFA official website.

“The Champions League is a special tournament, especially for our players. We wanted to be active from the start. Everyone at Bayern wanted to do something special today.”
