Hans-Dieter Flick head coach of Bayern Munich has encapsulated the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-3).
“Gladbach were very effective. They ruthlessly took advantage of our mistakes. In the first 30 minutes we showed good football and set the tone for the game,” said Flick after the game.
“It was the details, our mistakes: the loose ball, not the best defensive solutions. After 2-3 we failed to get back into the game the way we had hoped. Defeats are part of football. Nevertheless, we got into the game very well. But in the end, the defeat is a result of our actions. It is unpleasant and of course we are disappointed.”
“Gladbach shut down the open areas and played on the counterattack. They did it all on the plus side.”
