Portuguese manager, Fernando Santos has stated that he would be ‘always open’ if Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo requires ‘advice on his future.’
This week against Azerbaijan, Serbia, and Luxembourg, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal are preparing for their World Cup qualifiers. In recent weeks rumors of a potential transfer for Ronaldo have been circulating in Italian newspapers.
During the pre-match press conference ahead of the match against Azerbaijan the Portugal CT mentioned the former Real Madrid and Manchester United hero.
“If he were to ask me for advice on his future, I would always be available,” Santos said according to the Italian newspapers. “I could certainly give it to him.”
“I know him very well, I have trained him since he was 18, I have a great relationship with him. We talk a lot, but the things we tell each other stay between us.”
“Cristiano has won everything at club level, after the European Championship in 2016, he only has to win the World Cup.”
