Arsenal FC, who have been in a poor rhythm for some time, won 4–0 to Slavia Pollen in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League football tournament in the semi-finals with a 5–1 result.
Arsenal opened the match against the Czech Republic team by scoring three goals in the first half from the 18th to the 24th minute. The team extended the lead to 4–0 in the 77th minute of the match. The first-round match between the two teams was tied at 1-1. Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, and Bukayo Saka were the scorers for Gunners in the return leg of the Europa League quarter-finals. They will face Villarreal in the semi-finals. Villarreal defeated Dynamo Zagreb 2–1 in the second leg of the quarter-finals, taking the overall lead to 3–1 after two rounds.
The second semi-final match will be between Manchester United and Roma.
In the return leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, Manchester United defeated Granada for the second time. United smashed Spain’s Granada 2–0 to advance to the final four with a 4–0 lead overall. Edison Cavani and Jesus Vallejo pushed the Old Trafford club to the last four, scoring a goal each.
Roma and Ajax were tied 1–1 but Roma won the first round match 2–1 to take a 3–2 lead and clinched the semi-finals. AS Roma advanced to the Europa League semifinals with a 3-2 aggregate win over Ajax Amsterdam on Thursday as Edin Dzeko’s equalizer secured a 1-1 draw in Rome.
UEFA Europa League semi-finals will see Arsenal meet Villarreal on Friday 30th April and on the same day Manchester United will face Roma. Both the matches will kick off at 12:30 am according to Indian Standard Time.
