The Premier League players and club employees are being monitored twice a week and PL is now able to report that 1,311 players and club employees were screened for COVID-19 between Monday 28 December and Thursday 31 December, reports official website.
There were 28 new positive tests out of these. Generally, there are 40 new cases out of 2295 tests.
There were 12 new positives out of 984 players and club staff who were screened for COVID-19 between Friday 1 January and Sunday 3 January.
After an increased number of positive tests at two clubs three matches have been postponed during this time period.
