BBC reports that the UK government has announced the removal of the coronavirus lockdown on 2 December.
Outdoor sporting events could be attended by up to 4,000 people in areas of lowest risk. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to make a statement today.
Up to two thousand spectators will be allowed to play matches in areas of medium risk, while in areas of high risk the games will continue to take place in empty stands.
The country will be divided into regions with three levels of risk.
It is expected that professional sport, including EPL, will be affected by such easing.
