Paris St Germain won their first Ligue 1 season game over Metz on Wednesday when Julian Draxler went home deep in stoppage time to give the French champions home win 1-0.
In the second half, PSG, sent defender Abdou Diallo off for a second booking, lacking world-record signing Neymar and France striker Kylian Mbappe.
They kept pressing on until, constantly blocked by Metz goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja’s feet, they got the goal they desired when Draxler headed into an empty net after Oukidja parried a stinging cross from Angel di Maria.
PSG earned three points, having lost their first two campaign matches to Lens and Olympique de Marseille, after three rounds.
