Gianluigi Donnarumma who has gone through the Milan Youth Academy granted his first break at the age of 16 by Sinisa Mihajlovic, is open to extending his deal with Milan but not if it means taking a pay cut.
The 21-year-old goalie will be a free agent in June 2021 and the battle to qualify for Europe ensures that the belts in San Siro will continue to be tightened. Clubs such as Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in catching the Donnarumma.
According to Tuttosport reports, Donnarumma is disposed to remain in Milan and to sign a new contract extension. Nevertheless, it would like to maintain at least the net wage of 6m EUR a year negotiated in July 2017.
That’s above the salary cap that owners Elliott Management wants to impose, so agent Mino Raiola needs some form of agreement.
