Di Maria received a four-match ban for spitting on Marseille defender

Earlier this month during a late-game melee Paris Saint-Germain star Angel Di Maria spitted on Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez and has now received a four-match ban.

During a clash toward the end of the 1-0 loss to Marseille PSG, a tense battle that saw five players sent off in the final moments of the contest, the incident took place.

Two teams involved in a clash at the end of the contest, with Neymar among those who received a red card for hitting Gonzalez during the meeting between the two opposing sides.

While from their first four matches in the French season the reigning Ligue 1 champions have now claimed six points, Di Maria has scored one goal in three games for PSG so far this season.
