Croatia vs Scotland prediction and lineup

In a Euro 2020 Group D matchup that is currently tied at one point apiece, Croatia will face Scotland at Hampden Park on Tuesday. Last time out, while Scotland’s goalless draw with England seemed more like a victory for the Tartan Army, the Chequered Ones were held to a 1-1 tie by the Czech Republic. Here is all you need to know about Croatia vs Scotland prediction and lineup.

Team news

Croatia lineup: Livakovic; Vrsaljko, Vida, Lovren, Barisic; Brozovic, Kovacic; Vlasic, Modric, Perisic; Petkovic

Borna Barisic is likely to be fit to play against Scotland in some capacity after he missed the 1-1 tie with Czech Republic due to injury.

Croatia looked like a better team once Bruno Petkovic came on, and he might lead the line here with Ante Rebic moving out wide.

Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic are vying for a spot in the middle of the park with Luka Modric.

Scotland lineup: Marshall; McTominay, Hanley, Tierney; O’Donnell, McGregor, Gilmour, McGinn, Robertson; Dykes, Adams

On Friday night, both Billy Gilmour and Kieran Tierney were fit enough to start against England and both should preserve their places in the starting XI following strong performances.

With no injury or suspension worries, Steve Clarke is expected to choose an unchanged starting XI for the match against Croatia.

Scott McTominay would return to the defense in this scenario.

To get a point against the Czech Republic on Friday evening Croatia came from behind, and will now try to finish their Group D campaign with a victory versus Scotland.

The Tartan Army, like Croatia, drew their second group match, holding England to a 0-0 draw at Wembley. Back at Hampden, they’ll look to make it three wins in a row against Croatia, the most recent of which came in 2013.

Both teams with a win needed to improve their hopes of making the final 16 although they have only scored one goal at Euro 2020 and expect an open contest with plenty of goals.

Our Prediction: Croatia 2-1 Scotland
