To become Juventus’ top goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo follows Alessandro Del Piero by two goals in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
In the knockout phases of the competition, Ronaldo is currently third in the list of Bianconeri goal scorers, without counting the old format of the European Cup and the qualifying rounds or the group stages.
The European Cup was renamed the Champions League in 1992 and the competition was won by Juventus in 1995-96.
With Ronaldo being the only goal scorer for the club in the last two seasons’ knockout stages of the competition, he has already climbed to second together with Filippo Inzaghi.
