Coutinho to be swapped with Ndombele

Barcelona is reportedly available to a swap deal which would see them sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur with Philippe Coutinho moving in the opposite direction.

In a declaration to free up room on the pay bill due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, The Spanish champions are desperate to offload Coutinho this summer, but they have so far struggled to find a suitor for the Brazilian.

Connections to the likes of Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and even former Liverpool club have so far come to nothing as Bayern Munich, who signed Coutinho on loan last summer, has turned down the option of a permanent deal.

The Independent states, however, that they are eager in capitalizing on a reaction between Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho and Ndombele by requesting an exchange deal between Coutinho and the Frenchman of Wantaway.

Even criticizing him publicly earlier this season, Mourinho has refuted reports of a rift with Ndombele, but there have been assertions that the Spurs record signing has told the manager he never wishes to play for him again.

Barcelona rekindled their interest who had been associated with Ndombele before joining Spurs but would only be ready and able to make a swap deal, with Coutinho moving in a different direction as their preferred choice.
