Chelsea is clearly set to offer defender Andreas Christensen a new long-term contract.

The Denmark international got a new lease on life with the latest appointment of Thomas Tuchel after being treated as a backup under Frank Lampard.

The 24-year-old has helped the Blues in recent weeks, hold clean sheets against Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Liverpool while filling in for Thiago Silva.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea officials are hopeful that Christensen will agree to sign a new contract at the club.
