Chelsea is allegedly willing to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga for £50 m, during the summer transfer window.
With Blues manager Frank Lampard adding fuel to the fire on the final day of the Premier League season by benching Kepa for Willy Caballero, speculation has been rife in recent weeks surrounding the future of the Spaniard.
In Chelsea’s final day win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Caballero kept a clean sheet as the Blues secured qualifying for the Champions League, and before the 2020-21 campaign starts Lampard is reportedly desperate to part ways with Kepa.
The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea is ready to take a financial hit to unload the shot-stopper, though the club made the Spaniard the most expensive goalkeeper in the world when they forked out £72 m in 2018 to sign Kepa from Athletic Bilbao
The report claims that the side of Lampard will not accept any offers for Kepa under £ 50 m, although the Blues would be open to loan deals should the interested party agree to pay a large portion of his salary.
Lampard is supposedly heading up Chelsea’s search for a new number one.
The Blues has shortlisted Andre Onana of Ajax and Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid claims recent report.
